The reining sport is intended to be celebrated and developed in THE LAST COWBOY and RUN FOR A MILLION. The first-ever RUN FOR A MILLION in 2019 sparked excitement that permeated all western performance horse disciplines, including cutting, cow horse, and even rodeo, in addition to the reining world.
The richest Reining event in history is THE RUN FOR A MILLION. From August 16–19, 2023, the event will be held at the famous South Point Arena and Equestrian Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. For a prize pool of $1,000,000, sixteen riders, including some of the most accomplished NRHA Professionals in reining history, will compete. The $200,000 Cow Horse Challenge, $150,000 Added Open Shoot Out, $50,000 Bull Fighters Only Fight For Fifty, Cowboy Invitational presented by XIT Ranch, $50,000 Non Pro Championship, and Bloomer Rookie Championship follow the MILLION DOLLAR Competition.
